How We Made the New Collection
This collection was developed in partnership with one of the largest terracotta factories in Portugal, founded in the early 1900s. In 2024, Leanne visited the team there, where she applied her playful sense of creativity to a centuries-old tradition. A true collaboration of creation.
Why Terracotta?
Terracotta just feels good. It has a natural warmth and weight to it, holds heat a little longer, and is strong enough for everyday meals but still special enough when family comes over.
It’s one of those materials that only gets better with time. It softens a table, mixes easily with what you already have, and looks just as right out in the open as it does in use.
Care Instructions
Dishwasher Safe
Safe for dishwasher use. For best long-term results, avoid overcrowding and allow space between pieces.
Microwave Safe
Designed for everyday microwave use.
Sudden Temperature Changes
Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not move pieces directly from refrigerator to oven or from freezer to microwave, as rapid temperature shifts can cause cracking.
Stack With Care
Stacking is safe, but aligning pieces gently helps preserve the finish over time.
Utensil Marks
Utensil marks may occur. Like most ceramic dinnerware, light utensil marks can appear with regular use and can typically be removed with a gentle cleanser or baking soda paste.
Shipping Policy
Orders are currently shipping within the United States only.
Please allow 3–5 business days for order processing before shipment. Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Shipping times vary depending on destination and carrier, but most orders arrive within 3–7 business days after shipment.
Each order is carefully packed to arrive safely and ready for everyday use at home.
If your order arrives damaged, please email shop@leanneford.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can send a replacement. We’re a small team doing big things over here, so please allow up to 48 hours for a reply.
Once an order has shipped, we are unable to make changes to the shipping address.
Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary slightly during high-volume periods.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages once marked delivered by the carrier.
Return and Exchange Policy
Because we’re a small venture producing this collection in limited runs, pieces from the collection are eligible for exchange within 7 days of delivery, as long as they are unused and in their original packaging.
We’re not able to accept returns.
Our pieces ship in protective packaging designed specifically for safe delivery, so any exchange must include the original packaging.
Return shipping costs for exchanges are the responsibility of the customer, unless an item arrives damaged or incorrect.
If your order arrives damaged, we’ll replace it free of charge. Please email shop@leannefordinteriors.com within 48 hours of delivery and include photos so we can take care of it quickly. Once approved, there’s no need to send the damaged piece back — you can dispose of it locally.
